Portrait Sessions with Mel Collier Photography

My portrait sessions are relaxed, fun, and full of connection. I’ll guide you through your session in a way that feels natural and enjoyable — no stiff posing or forced smiles. My goal is to capture real moments, real personalities, and real emotion through a lifestyle, documentary-inspired approach.

What does that look like?

Think movement, interaction, laughter, and togetherness. I’ll give gentle direction while you play, talk, cuddle, and simply be you. You won’t hear a lot of “stand here and smile perfectly at the camera.” Instead, I focus on storytelling — the moments in between.

 

And yes… bring the pretty dress.

Your gallery will include a mix of candid moments, joyful interactions, artistic images, and beautifully composed portraits that reflect your family as you truly are.

Booking & Payment

• A $50 non-refundable booking fee is due at the time of booking
• Booking fees are applied toward your session total
• The booking fee must be paid within 24 hours to secure your spot
• If unpaid after 24 hours, the session time will be released to other clients

 

The remaining session balance is due 7 days prior to your scheduled session date.

All sessions are booked and paid for exclusively through my online booking portal.

Booking fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-negotiable.

Image Delivery & Refund Policy

Your fully edited final gallery will be delivered within 15 business days.

Each gallery includes all usable images from your session — there is no image cap.

 

As a general guideline:
• A 30-minute family session typically delivers 25–30 images
• For groups larger than 6 people, a longer session is recommended

 

Due to the digital nature of the products delivered, no refunds are available once a gallery has been delivered.

 

Gallery Access & Archiving

• Full sessions: galleries are archived after 6 months
• Mini sessions: galleries are archived after 3 months

 

It is the client’s responsibility to download and safely store their images within the active gallery period. Re-delivery of archived galleries is not guaranteed.

 

Location & Travel

Session pricing reflects locations within 30 miles of my home studio.
Additional travel fees may apply for sessions outside this area.

 

Additional Policies

• All credits, gift certificates, and reshoots must be used within one year
• Session pricing reflects experience, time, artistic expertise, and post-processing
• Each image is hand-edited in my signature style
• Editing is consistent with my creative vision and artistic approach
